What types of battery packs does the Xbox 360 wireless controller have?
I heard that there's an official Microsoft rechargeable battery pack that can be used with the Play and Charge Kit, and another one that's only a "shell" battery compartment that you attach to your controller and use normal disposable batteries for it. Which kind of battery pack is included when you buy an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller?
The Rechargeable Battery Pack for the Xbox 360 controller contains two AA nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries inside a sealed casing, with a custom connector on the rear to allow charging through the Xbox 360 controller itself.
