I want to buy an XBOX 360?

I have a couple questions that i need answered before I buy one:

1) How much memory do I need to save games and other stuff. How much memory do I need. Would 256 MB be enough? 20 GB? 60?

2) Is there any chance the systems might go on sale soon for the holidays? Is this a good time to buy?

3) What should I look out for when buying? Any tips and suggestions? Other advice?

they probably wont go on sale, they rarely do, but the prices were cut not too long ago making them a bit more affordable. the 20GB one is 250 and the 60GB is 300. i have the 20 and it's ok, i haven't ran out of room yet, but i wish i had waited until they came out with the 60 because i download a lot of videos.
