Xbox 360 Disc Reading Error – Where Does This Problem Come From? Troubleshooting Help!

If you have an Xbox 360 then you have most likely heard about most of the hardware problems then the console suffers from. You have the main one which is the 3 red lights, 2 red lights overheating error and you may also get the freeze ups while playing your games and the DVD drive error.

When your Xbox 360 stops playing your games it can be a little annoying to say the least so this article will tell you why it happens and more importantly give you a few methods that you can use to fix it.

The reason that the console stops playing your games is not normally the DVD drive being faulty but is more to do with the heat the drive is taking.

You see it has a few small receptors on the back of the drive and as the inside gets too hot it stops working and that is when you get the error.

So how do you fix it?

Well you stop the heat build up and you really have 2 ways that you can do this, you can send it in and they will fix it for you. What they will actually do is perform something called a reflow on the GPU and the CPU which is when they check the connection is still sound via soldering.
