Xbox 360 Red Light Fix – How to Repair Xbox 360 Three Red Light Error
If you consider yourself an Xbox 360 avid fan or gamer, then you probably know what the “deadly” Xbox 360 three flashing red light error means. If you don’t, do not worry as I will show a simple Xbox 360 red light fix later in this article.
There are four quadrants called the Ring of Light (RoL) – or life – surrounding the power button that lights green if the console is healthy.
Red, depending on which quadrants would display it, would mean that something is wrong with the Xbox 360 hardware and that you should stop playing.
In this case, the Xbox 360 three red light error usually corresponds to hardware failure. Before panicking, confirm what your console is experiencing. Check the power supply first with the Xbox switched on; the light should be green even if the xbox ring of light is flashing the three reds.
Red, orange, or no lights at all would signify that the problem is with the power supply, and each would refer to another problem. Basically, the xbox360 has these signals that can help you identify the current condition of your Xbox.
Once you have correctly identified that the color of the light on your console is green, it’s time to power cycle. This is done by turning off the Xbox, unplugging the power plug, wait for a few minutes and turn it on again to see if the three red light error would still occur.
Power cycling rests the device just as it would with your laptop or computer and gives it time to properly operate again if there are errors previously. If the console still flashes red, the last step would be to send the console for repair. Alternatively, there are many online guides that teaches you how to fix the xbox 360 3 red light error by yourself. It’s not that difficult and it should take you no more than an hour.
Two things that you can do for your Xbox so as to avoid triggering this hardware problem is adequate ventilation and the second is not to overuse the console. Make sure you do not place your console in sunlight or near other electrical appliances that generate heat. You should also turn off your xbox 360 every 2 to 3 hours to let the system cool down.
