How to hook up XBOX 360 HDMI up to a Computer Monitor
I recently bought a computer monitor and relized that it was much better than my regular tv so I wanted to get all i could out of my XBOX 360 Elite and have the best picture quality possible.
Place a DVI to Female HDMI or a VGA to Female HDMI adapter into a open spot on the back of your LCD or CRT Monitor.
From the XBOX 360 package box take the given HDMI cable (which looks like a buffed up USB cable) and place it in the back of the 360 in the designated hole.Take the other end of the cable and place it in the back of the monitor where you placed the adapter. Some new LCD monitors do come with a HDMI hook up so if you have one just plug it in to that hole.
Again in your XBOX 360 package box look for the given audio cable that has a red and white audio out on it, and plug in a R/W audio to 3.5mm into the monitors speakers or into any set of speakers. you can purchase a R/W to 3.5mm splitter here http://www.papatek.com/USB-DVI-Adapter/
Usually on PC LCD monitors there should be a Source button, after turning the monitor on hit the source button and go to the Digital Connection.Next power up your XBOX and go to the Dashboard and go to the Systems Page http://www.papatek.com/LCD-Panel
Click screen resolution and choose the resolution that best fits your monitor.Click Screen Format and choose which type of connection that you have which should be HDMI.
