Are you facing problems with Xbox 360
Xbox 360 is the second video game console produced by Microsoft, and the successor of the Xbox. The Xbox 360 competes with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's WII gamming as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles.
Xbox 360 is subject to a number of technical problems. Since the console's release in 2005, users have reported concerns over its reliability and failure rate. To aid customers with defective consoles, Microsoft has extended the Xbox 360's manufacturer's warranty to three years for hardware failure problems that generate a "General Hardware Failure" error report.
A "General Hardware Failure" is recognized by three quadrants of the ring around the power button flashing red. This error is often known as the "Red Ring of Death. In April 2009 the warranty was extended to also cover failures related to the E74 error code. The warranty extension is not granted for any other types of failures that do not generate these specific error codes.
Xbox 360 is also infamous for overheating due to a somewhat inefficient heat removal system. Using it for lengthy periods can cause an Xbox to freeze and overheat; the only solution for this is to power off the console for an hour or so until it cools down. For preventing overheat, the console should be placed in an area which has plenty of air flow and where the console is raised off the ground.
If you are having problems with the console read through the top three problems below to fix it.
1. The 3 red lights error: It basically means that your console has a general hardware failure. The reason this happens is because the motherboard takes far too much heat, and the chips that deal with all the processing burn out. his does not happen overnight and you may have many months of play before you start to notice the occasional game freeze or graphical glitches that may suggest you are heading for the 3 red lights. Use better cooling options and proper ventilation of Xbox can fix the problem.
2. The 1 red light error: It is caused when the Scaler chip burns out. The reason is similar to the reason for the 3 red lights except this is a different chip that has suffered the damage. The Scalar chip deals with the AV cable and the signal that you get on your screen, so you know you have this error if you turn on your Xbox and you get the lower right hand side liked blinking with an error message on the screen. The only way that you can fix this one is to ring Microsoft customer support and let them know your problem and they will arrange for your console to be picked up and repaired.
3. The DVD drive: This can refuse to play your games sometimes, even when you've put an x-box 360 game disc in the drive. This has to be taken care in the Warranty for the XBOX.
