You may have heard about the state of USB 3.0 devices in the storage market, but do you ever wonder that there may be some new panels, which could potentially be integrated with the Super Speed USB port for graphics? Recently, 3M announced a new monitor, which is called in the industry powered USB 3.0 LCD panel is suitable for portable computers for travel or use a laptop.
LCD panel is still in prototype phase, so do not expect it to be a huge and only display 18.5-inch screen can display up to 1366 x 768 resolution. In addition to its ability to stream video and graphics directly on the display by the theory 5Gbps high-speed bandwidth, which is more impressive, the entire committee may only supplied me with two USB 3.0 ports, without additional external power supply. This is undoubtedly a great advantage in comparison with DisplayLink panel, such as first DisplayLink LCD panel , which is still based on USB 2.0 with an additional requirement for an external power source for it is working properly.
