What percentage of the actual value do Video Games stores give you?
When you take things to a video game store for trade in or cash, how much do they typically give you?
For example... If I went into Gamestop with a video game system that they know they could sell for $100, how much would they give me?
I'm guessing it would be about $30 - $40.
Is there a certain percentage that stores use?
ok it depends on a couple things...
if its a system they look at a couple things defects, recalls on certain serial numbers some they wont take if it being with a number...usually a new system they will give u 150 for a 360 standard
for the ps3 they will give u about 250...
for the wii like 125.
ok...video games are harder..
it depends on how many copies the store has, the defects on the cd to see if they need a refurbishing fee added, and the biggest is POPULARITY!!! for instance if the store only sells like 100 they will give u about 30% of what u pay. if the game is brad new they mostly give u about 60-65% i bought devil may cry for 60 and got 36 for it...
there is just some of the factors that add for the pricing..i hope this helps
