Then gaming posters are the way to go! Here are some important tips on how to perfect poster printing using screenshots from your favorite video games.
How to create posters with screenshots taken from your favorite PC video games
The Screenshot. Not a lot of people know how to take a screenshot. The easiest way to do so is to use the PRT SCN (Print Screen) key. It's usually near Scroll Lock on the upper right corner of the keyboard. A better and more efficient method is to use screen capture software such as SnagIt, Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, where you can save the image in any format you want. Image editing software allows you to manipulate the image and add enhancing effects.
Bring your 'A' Game. Always be on the prowl for the hottest game in town. Check out your favorite video game stores and ask for the latest releases by gaming's best known publishers. The Internet and magazines are also a good resource for game reviews that provide insight into the latest gaming technology. Though old school is also cool. Go head to head against the undead, zombies and terrorists with Warcraft, Quake and Counter-Strike. Don't forget the gaming noobs with games from Popcap or Facebook.
Know when to take screenshots. Capture too soon and you fail to freeze the moment. Too late and it would have been all gone. Take extra effort to capture the right moment when tension and conflict are at its highest. This is the moment you want to preserve in your screenshot so take your time. Lighting must be good and make sure you capture the image in high resolution. Consider the moment when you're taking a screenshot. Make sure that the lighting is good to avoid pixelation.
Use a striking design. Add text to compliment your screenshot. It doesn't have to be a long string of text. Just say what the poster is for. If it's there to simply spice up the occasion, mention a famous line from the game like "fire in the hole". Heads will turn and faces will smile.
