Primary NFL Television Stations $87.62 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A primary, flagship or home television station refers to the local affiliates that carry a majority of the regular season telecasts for a said National Football League (NFL) team. This list only concentrates on television coverage since the AFLNFL merger in 1970. From 19701993, CBS held the National Football Conference (NFC) package. Since 1994, the Fox Broadcasting Company has held the NFC package. Meanwhile, from 19701997, NBC held the American Football Conference (AFC) package. Since 1998, CBS has held the AFC package. As the NFL assigns telecast rights based on the conference affiliation of the road team, the stations listed below would be assigned all of the teams road games. They would also carry those home games against teams in the same conference that did not fall under the leagues blackout rules. Home games against teams from the other conference, if not blacked out, would be carried on another station. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Interpreting Television News $186 Television news range among the most extensively investigated topics in communication studies. The book contributes to television news research by focusing on whether and how news viewers who watch the same news program form similar or different interpretations. Translation in Television News in Taiwan $111.53 This book aims to bridge the gap between the production of global news and the practices of translation by focusing mainly on television news translation, and expects to help understand how news translators in this context reproduce news stories in the process of news translation. The authors adopt the method of case study, using a foreign news desk in a certain news network in Taiwan as the object of this research and looking into the workings of the organization. The results of the existing study show that news translation should be considered a type of translation in a more generalized meaning, notwithstanding the fact that there are differences between news translation and general translation. On the other hand, in the process of production of global news, the news translators in television newsroom mainly take into consideration three factors: the footage, the length of news item, and the spoken language, which marks great distinctions from general translation. India news
The India news media refers to the section of the mass media that focuses on presenting current news to the public. These include print media (newspapers, magazines); broadcast media (radio stations, television stations, television networks), and increasingly Internet-based media (World Wide Web pages, weblogs.)
To discuss its etymology a News Media or its medium (plural media) is a carrier of relevant information. Common things carried by media include details, art, or physical objects. A medium may provide transmission or storage of information or both. The industries which produce news and entertainment content for the mass media are often called "the media" (in much the same way the newspaper industry is called "the press"). In the late 20th century it became commonplace for this usage to be construed as singular rather than as the traditional plural.
Emphasis is always given to the national stories, which play a major role in the policy making of the country. Second importance is usually laid on the states' news. Then rest of the news items includes international pieces and Page 3 stuff.
And as newspapers and media websites everywhere are discovering, the news the stuff people are really interested in isn't always what we put on the front page, or even the second or third page. Sometimes it's the quirky or human-interest stories that really grab people. And yet, we routinely denigrate those types of stories.
First, there are no consumers of news anymore. In fact, you've probably heard this said a lot, here and elsewhere that, in the era of MySpace, Wikipedia, OhmyNews and citizen journalism, everyone is a journalist, and therefore a producer, of news. No one is just a consumer.
Second, meaning of news has changed. Or at least there is no longer a traditional, established and establishment definition of what is news. Instead we have information. Some of it moving very fast, so it looks like news.
There's also a well established news channel with this name India News. Although it is still trying to create a market of its own, the content and the production value has been on a rise. Selection of news in India is quite similar to the techniques applied in other parts of the world.
