Sony Continues To Fight For Their Reputation
Sony is doing everything in its power to restore its reputation which has been damaged from the recent security breach and that fight goes on.
As a prized brand, it matters to Sony that their reputation has taken a knock lately, they have been able to spring back from the production disruption first set off by the March earthquake and tsunami in Japan and this is symbolic of the nation's overall recovery.
In the 1980s Sony was catapulted into being a global household name, with pioneering sectors such as its Walkman portable music player, but has taken a bit of a beating in music players from other portable devices such as the iPod, iPhone and iPad. More recently Sony heavily banked on content download services for network-linking TVs and game consoles, unfortunately the leak of user information is throwing their reputation into doubt.
Sony will never lie down and play dead and at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June 2011 to be held in Los Angeles, the video game industry will announce the next big things, showcasing the best stuff it has coming. At this Expo Sony will take the stage and tell the world what the future holds for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) PlayStation Portable (PSP), and Next Generation Portable (NGP).
It is predicted that new and exciting games will be announced and it is a safe bet that all the big guns not out yet will make a heady appearance, such as Uncharted 3, Drake's Deception, Twisted Metal, Resistance 3 and the Last Guardian, so expect to hear exciting news.
Sony has 2011 on lockdown; it is dominating the exclusive lineup this year and is vigorously fighting to dominate 2012, which will certainly keep their reputation intact. Also on the cards is Sony's way to thank the millions of gamers for their patience and continued support and loyalty through this outrage and to this end are offering free video games and, depending on the package you have signed up for, subscribers will also get free movies.
A spokesman for PS Pros the PlayStation Pros working out of both London and New York USA said "We are a PlayStation 3 repair service and now is the time to get your console checked out and shake off the despondency of thinking that your online game play was over. Sony is a household name and will continue hopefully to be one for years to come. Sony's fight that goes on to retain their market leader slot can only benefit the gamer with added security and bigger and better things to come in 2011 and 2012.
