How Did I Fix PS3 Loading Problems?
I fixed my PS3 loading problems last Saturday. I am another casualty of COD4. It suddenly frozen up and could not load any games or DVD movies. Fortunately a friend of mine gave me some advices and really helped me solve the PS3 loading problem. Do you have the same problem? Read the following article, and see if it can help you too.
I was told that it was probably a hard drive problem. To test out whether or not it is the hard drive problem, you have to take the hard drive out and then put a working one in there. If the startup screen loads, your former hard drive causes your PS3 game loading problem. You have to...
1) Backup the hard drive. Hard Remember to copy all your personal files like saved games into a flash drive or an external USB memory stick. Hard disk drive formatting will unfortunately cause the loss of all your information unless you back it up first.
2) Reformat the hard drive. First remove your hard drive from your PS3, and turn on your PS3. After some wait, it should display a message saying the hard drive will need to be reformatted. Then, plug the hard disk drive back into your PS3, and allow it begin to reformat.
3) Do a system restore and accept all the default settings. After reformatting, entered the ps3 recovery menu and restore PS3 System. After the system restoring has been completed, there will display the initial setup screen. Accept all the default settings to complete the operation.
Do not turn off your PS3 during the third operation. If the console is shut off before completion, the system software may become damaged, and the system may require servicing or exchange.
That is how I fixed my PS3 game loading problems. By the way, my friend also introduced me one repair manual named Rob Sheffield's PS3 Lights Fix Guide. He said he had learned a lot from it. It almost covers every possible problem of PS3 and provides detailed fix guide to each problem.
