how do I fix assassins creed 2 for the ps3 game freeze ?
As you can surmise from the question I having an issue where the game assassins creed 2 freezing up. ? It happens at the same area around the abbey every time, in sequence five when i have to dispatch the three or four conspirators. Now its not a small area I have tried running around it and its the whole countryside. I can go everywhere else no problem. I can always tell the problem will occur because i lose the music, not the background sound like walking, wind blowing etc just the music. Also when the game does freeze up its just the character and all the npcs, the background visuals continue, sky moves, shadows and trees still sway etc. Technical things i have tried is erase the game and start over with and without the patch. I even made a second profile that stays offline, so no scrolling text thinking that may be the problem. Of course I cleaned the disc, got it to a mirror like shine no scratches on it. MY ps3 specs is a 120gb slim firmware 3.21
This is a known bug in the game. And it doesn't just affect the ps3 version, although that is where it seems to be the most prominent. The freezing appears to happen at random times so this may not be the only location. You can submit a bug report to Ubisoft at the following address:
