What part do i need to fix my YLOD (yellow light of death) on ps3 (60gb)?
The cause for the defect was because i've been turning it of with the main power switch with out shutting the system down manually, and i found out a little too late.
The YLOD could be a number of problems. When you switch on your PS3 the system does a check of its compnents and if there is any fault then you get the YLOD. It can be the motherboard, the power supply, hard drive, fan or disk drive. By the sound of things its the power supply. The best thing to do is to send it off to Sony if its covered by warranty In any case youll probably get a replacement system in which you will lose all your data. And if your like me and have a game inside I doubt you'll be getting it back.
