So you have spent all of this money on an XBOX 360 and now it is broke. Now you need to repair XBOX 360. Well, first things first. Does you XBOX still have the warrenty? If so, then you need to take it back to the store of purchase and have it sent back to Microsoft for a repair order. They will either repair XBOX 360 or replace it for free. This is the fastest and easiest remedy to this problem. Don't open the case or break the seal on your XBOX, this automatically voids your warranty.
Now lets deal with a XBOX that is not under warranty. The following information will provide you with your cheapest and best bet for repairing your XBOX 360.
Believe it or not there are free step by step instructions along with videos that will show you how to perform your own Xbox 360 repair. The only cost that you would have to insure is the cost of the repair kit which could cost you between $7.99 to $24.99 depending on who you buy the kit from. Most of the kits come with a blister pack of thermal paste which is just enough to do 2 or 3 CPUs. Whereas the thermal paste you buy in a store comes in a tube and is way more than you need.

I have found that some of the free guides are a little choppy and some are not written very well. Thus, they left me a little confused in the end. But the guide that I paid for had exactly what I was looking for in one easy to read format. It also had videos that I could follow got me through the rough parts. Best of all, I had my XBOX up and running in little over 2 hours.
Now there was one other feature that I did not get a chance to use. It was the 24 hour online support. The guide gave me all the help that I needed but it made me feel secure that I would get in tough with someone if I got stuck.
